Legislative Initiatives on Administrative Infringements Debated

At February 24 sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture and Environment moderated by Varazdat Karapetyan the draft law on Amending the Law on Materials Decaying the Ozone Layer and the package of the enclosed draft laws authored by the RA Government was debated in the second reading.

By the presentation of the RA Deputy Minister of the Environment Irina Ghaplanyan, after the first reading the package of the draft laws on the basis of the recommendations presented by the Government after the first reading has been revised: the amendments are of technical character.

The draft law on Making Addendum and Amendments to the RA Code on Administrative Offences and the enclosed package of the draft laws was also debated in the second reading.

The packages of the draft laws debated in the second reading were endorsed.

The RA Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures Vache Terteryan presented the bill on Amending the RA Land Code. The bill with the endorsement will be included in the draft law of the regular sittings’ agenda.

The Committee also debated the draft law on Amending the RA Law on Social Support. The RA Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Zhanna Andreasyan presented clarifications on the amendments being made in the system and also touched upon the current state of the system and the existing problems.

The Committee made a decision to convene parliamentary hearings on the theme on Administrative-Territorial Division of the Republic of Armenia on March 12.
